15 Weeks

I pretty much sucked at documenting my pregnancy with Daxon, it was so exciting and new, that I thought to myself, how could I ever forget these moments and milestones of being pregnant. Boy was I wrong! At one of my doctors appointments, she asked me how big Daxon was when he was born and can you believe it, I couldn't remember the exact weight! I knew it was 7lbs, but the ounces?? nope.

So I thought this time I would do a better job! so here is my first picture!

15 weeks

Number of Weeks: 15 Weeks (Aug 8)

Symptoms: Tiiredness is completely gone and most of the morningsickness. I still find myself not feeling to well right when I wake up, but usually by 9:00ish I'm good. I have also been getting headaches, but they usually pass pretty quickly. Other than that I'm feeling pretty normal.

Cravings/Appetite: Sweets! I will go to walmart and buy a container of gummie candies and Daxon and I will have them finished in no time. The other day we bought a chocolate cream pie and I finished it in maybe 2 day! I'm usually not a big fan of sweet, but oviously pregnancy makes me want them, as I hap the same craving with Daxon.

Movement: Nope, not yet!

Sleep: Can't really complain, it's just annoying having to get up and pee in the middle of the night.

While Baby's Away, Mommy Will Play!

Last week, my sister and brother in-law were kind enough to offer to take Daxon for a few day's so Derek and I could get some work done around the house. I have to admit, the first day and a half I didn't get much work done. In fact it was the first time ever since Daxon was born, that I was in the house by myself (Derek was at work), so I had to take advantage of it! I had a bubble bath (and didn't have to worry about Daxon waking up from his nap), I cleaned the house (and it stayed clean for more then 5 mins), made cookies (the best I have ever made) and enjoyed a glass (who am I kidding, it was a bottle!) of wine. We did get a little work done, not as much as I hoped. By the end I was missing my little man (well from the moment he left I was missing him), but it was nice to have a little Heidi time and Derek and Heidi time.

2011 Resolutions

So I`m not usually one to make resolutions, but there are a few things I would like to change, or improve on, so I thought why not with a new year.

1. Stop drinking pop, so at least less of it
2. Be in the moment and have more fun
3. Take a picture a day for the entire year
4. Be healthier- not necessarily loose weight (which I would also love), but just make better food choices and instead of driving to the store or to get the mail on a nice day, walk.
5. Save more money- you can never have enough stashed away

I don`t want to stretch it, so these five will do.

Sick Days!

The past week and a half have been kinda crazy around here. It started with Derek coming down with a bad stomach flu, which knock him out for a few days and then I got a lesser vision for a day. Derek's mom came and watched Daxon for the day, which was super nice. Then last weekend Daxon came down with it! I must say it has hit him harder then it did us. He hasn't had much of an appetite the last few days and won't drink anything but formula from his bottle (which we had taken him off a few weeks ago). He was even sick on his birthday! He's getting better slowly but surly, so hopefully we'll have our rambunctious little man back soon.

Derek also started a new job on Monday, so we have been trying to adjust with his new hours and getting a schedule down. I must say he's much happier then where he was, so it will all be worth it!

Well that's my update (aka excuse for not blogging much lately). Here's a picture of our sick little guy, who has found a new home on the dogs bed.

Think Pink!

Last week while standing in line at the grocery store I turned around to look at the shelf at the end of the aisle and to my amazement there was PINK Purex toilet paper (it was a special package in support of breath cancer), so of course I had to get a package!

I then made up this toilet paper cake as a hostess gift for my sister, who loves anything pink!

Embrace the Camera

Our fall photo shoot! I am beginning to think that fall might be my favorite season. I love the colors of the leaves changing and the sound the leaves make when you step on them and the beautiful backdrop they make for pictures.

Can Everyone Say Shopping!

On Saturday my Mom and I took a day trip to Minot, the main reason of us going was to pick up some doors that she had ordered when we went to Bismark about a month ago, but of course we got some shopping!

Spent way too much money at Hobby Lobby!

Picked up this scent at Bath and Body Works! It is absolutely the best thing I have ever smelled!

Picked up these knobs for Daxon's closet doors

Books

Yesterday we made a trip to the book store. Daxon had a gift card that he had won in the photo contest, so we thought we would get him some new books. We came out with these two selections.

And of course Mom needed a book as well!

I choose "Freedom" by Jonathan Franzen, it's the new book in Oprah's book club, so I thought I would give it a read! I'm not a avid reader, I'm lucky if I read one book a year and usually it's a true crime novel (my favorite), so we will see how long it takes me to tackle this one!

My 27th Birthday Extravaganza!

As I had mentioned in a previous post Friday was my 27th birthday and Derek had planned a fun filled two day's for me! I will start off by saying it was one of the best birthdays I can remember! I got to spend it with all the most important people in my life (minus my Dad, who couldn't be there). Here is how it all went down!

Friday morning I spent at home with Daxon and Derek, we had cake and I opened my cards and presents!

I was eying this wine purse up at a store when we were in Bismark, but was too cheap to buy it!

"Miss wine" wine glass from my Mom and Dad

Then we all headed to the city. My sister and I got ready and headed out for dinner with my Mom and friend Candace.

After we finished dinner, my sister and I went to a lounge where we met up with Derek, my brother and Derek's friend!

On Saturday I was supposed to go for brunch with my friend Amanda and then for pedicures and manicures, needless to say I didn't make it for brunch, but was ready to go for the pedicure and manicure.

I hadn't had any spa treatments for over a year, so it was very relaxing getting my nails and toes done, the chairs we sat in while getting our pedicures were massaging chairs, which only added to the relaxation!

To top the two says of Birthday Celebration my Mom cooked the whole family supper that night and made me a whole made Chocolate Cake!

I'm so lucky to have such a great husband and family, who make me feel so special!

My Birthday Present!

Well, it's my birthday on Friday and the other night Derek told me what my present was! And I'm super excited about it. I really don't want or need anything for my birthday, so Derek came up with this super present!

On Friday Derek, Daxon and I are going to spend the morning together and have lunch and cake, then (since Derek starts work at 3, well he's suppose to, stupid rain!) Daxon and I are off to the city for the night, where Derek arranged for my sister, mom and I to go for supper and cocktails (YUMM!)

Then on Saturday he arranged for my friend Amanda and I to go for brunch and then to the spa for mannies and petties! He even arranged babysitters for Daxon! It's been forever since I had a girls night or been to the spa, so I'm so excited! What a sweet guy I have! Stay tuned for pictures!

Relaxed!

Last night I had a night to myself while Derek was a work (his rig hasn't been working for over a week as it has been raining all week). I made some popcorn, had a Pepsi, caught up on some TV and RELAXED!

Oprah-fied

Today marks the start of Oprah's final season of her talk show. I've always enjoyed watching her show, it wasn't like all the other talk shows, it is actually informational and made you believe you could become a better person with a "A-HA moment"! I've always said she was my hero, she has so much and yet gives so much!

I've always watched the show, but this season I am making it a personal goal of mine to watch every show (with the help of the PVR of course! What would we do with out it?). Maybe my big "A-HA moment is yet to come!
