My poor Baby
So we made it 3 months with out being sick, which is an accomplishment around our house, as it seems like since last April (when Daxon got sick for the first time) he has been sick a least once a month (including his birthday).
It started with him just being a little irritable all day and more tired then usual, which led to him puking all over me (the joys of motherhood that I wouldn't change for the world) and then again. So I checked his temperature which was 39°C (102°F), so I gave him a bath to cool him down (and wash off the puke) and some Advil and about an hour later he was running around and playing. He ended up waking up in the middle of the night with the fever again, but seems better this morning.

So this is what the day looked like!

The NEW counter tops! YAY!!!!
As mentioned in a previous post Derek, my Dad and I spent last weekend (and Monday) installing new counter tops in our kitchen and here is the final product! This was one task that was weighing heavily on our minds, as we had to start from scratch and make all new counter tops (in our last house we just put it over the old tops and it was much smaller) and we knew we couldn't do it alone. So when my Dad offered to help, it was a big relief. Most of the things we have to finish now, in order to sell are house are smaller projects and we are hoping by the end of the month to have her ready to sell (fingers crossed).
Here is the before to refresh your memory
And the After! I'm so happy with the way they turned out!
Looks much more classy!
We had purchased a new hood range for the stove but, realized our house was much more high tech then we thought and had a fan already built in so Derek's dad offered to paint the old one and it turned out great (and saved a little cash).

Soap Nuts
After seeing these "Soap Nuts" on the Dragons Den, I thought I would give them a try. They are a natural cleaning detergent founded by a couple in Saskatchewan, that imports them south Asian countries. They look a little weird and smell like apple cider vinegar, but your cloths come out with no smell. You can also use them as a multipurpose cleaner and glass cleaner.

Let's Go North
This Past weekend Daxon and I headed to Eagle Bay Resort with my parents, brother and my sister (she decided to come last minute which made it much more fun). My parents have a camper their all year long, but since it was cold we got a cabin, which had 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a dishwasher! It was lots of fun and a nice little break!
