Whipped up this cookie bouquet for Derek's moms Birthday! I got to try my new cookie molds and learned that I don't need to fill them to the top, as the cookies were more like little cakes, but who's complaining!

A Little Getaway!
On Sunday we headed to Winnipeg for the night, mostly because I wanted Olive Garden and for a little family getaway. We had a great time swimming, shopping and eating!

One Thing Down, A Few More To Go
Tiling this area took us longer then expected, 8 hours to be exact!

Couch Potato
After slipping into the kitchen to grab a coffee I returned to the living room to find our little Daxon sitting on the couch with the remote in his hand. It is pretty sad that he points the remote at the TV before he can even talk. I think some outdoor play is in order for this little guy!

Busy, Busy, Busy
So after 2 and a half years of small town living, we have decided that it's not for us (I think we came to this realization within the first year) and are going to move (if all goes as planned) back to the city. When we purchased our house it needed a LOT of work, but thought we were up to the challenge, almost three years later we have realized this is not the case and are still doing major renos. We are do it yourselfers and have ran into a few road blocks on our journey to our home sweet home. So with lots of things still on our to do list, this is what our house has gone through/ going through in the last month to get it ready to sell.
The kitchen After
There is still a lot to do, new hardware, trim along the bottom, new counter tops and oven-hood (when will it end)
This is our laundry area and main floor bath, tile is going in today and then paint, I can see the light!

The Cup and Coaster
I had to laugh (and of course take a picture) when Daxon came and put his cup on the coaster and then quietly walked away.
