Help with the Laundry

I've always wished I had help folding cloths!

Fun Bug!

Daxon got this "Fun Bug" from Grandma and Grandpa E. It's so cute, it's eyes flash, wings flap and it moves around (if it runs into something thing it just turns) all to "I wanna kiss kiss kiss when the sun don't shine". Daxon it's to sure what to make of it yet, he likes to pick it up and throw it beside him (he has broken the wings three times so far and daddy had to fix it).

I think it's the cutest thing ever!

Silhouette

Lately I've been hearing and seeing a lot about silhouettes, so I thought I would try it out.

All I did was take a picture of Daxon, cut it out, spray painted it black and glue it to some black and white scrapbooking paper! It was so easy and I must say it turned out absolutely fabulous!

Fresh Bread

A few weeks ago I was helping my mom go through some things and I came across her bread maker, which she hadn't used in years, so I asked her if I could have it and she said yes!

So the last few days I have been making a loaf a day! I love the smell when it's baking and having the first slice right after its done, with butter that melts as soon as it touches the bread! Yummmm!

Daily Duties

I like to think that I keep my house pretty clean, I will admit there are day's when some my differ, but who doesn't have those days. I found this idea on this blog awhile ago and thought, it was a great idea to keep my house duties organized and make sure I'm not missing anything. So I made my own version of my weekly tasks and put it on paper. I'm super proud with how it turned out!

10 Months!

Yesterday our little monkey turned the big 1-0, that's in months of course! Were officially into the double digits! It's hard to believe that in just two months he will be a year old! It was quite the job trying to take this months pictures and I literally gave up as he wouldn't sit still, but after putting the pictures on the computer I found this one, where he was actually sitting and looking!

Daxon At The Park

Last week while going for a walk Daxon and I stopped at the park (which is right behind our house and we never go to). I put Daxon in the baby swing and he absolutely LOVED it! He was screaming and laughing so much. I was so amazed how he knew how to hold onto to the chains! He's a little video of him!

Happy Thanksgiving!

On Saturday we headed to my sisters for Thanksgiving supper. We had a great time with our whole family and my sisters husbands family. We took this opportunity to take a family photo, for my mom to use for her Christmas cards!

Think Pink!

Last week while standing in line at the grocery store I turned around to look at the shelf at the end of the aisle and to my amazement there was PINK Purex toilet paper (it was a special package in support of breath cancer), so of course I had to get a package!

I then made up this toilet paper cake as a hostess gift for my sister, who loves anything pink!

New Supper Routine

Ever since Derek and I moved in together, we have always eaten our supper on TV trays in front of our TV. When Daxon came along and started eating meals we would feed him in his high chair around 5 o'clock and then start making our supper. Now that Daxon is mobile, his has proven a little harder and the other night he snatched the chicken right off my plate.

We then decided that we should start eating together at the table. We have only done it twice so far, but I am absolutely loving it! It gives us a chance to actually have a conversation (not just during commercials) and it's much better for Daxon.

Daxon's First Hair Cut!

On Thursday we took our little man for his first hair cut! He did so well, he sat on the chair and let her cut away, not even fussing once! It's so hard to believe that we had to do this already. He looked like such a big boy sitting in the chair. And of course I had my envelope for his hair for his baby book!

Embrace the Camera

Our fall photo shoot! I am beginning to think that fall might be my favorite season. I love the colors of the leaves changing and the sound the leaves make when you step on them and the beautiful backdrop they make for pictures.

Fall Treats!

I put together these little bags full of homemade chocolates for Thanksgiving supper at Derek's parents house this past Sunday!

And also these little bags for the table settings at Thanksgiving supper this coming Sunday at my sisters house.

This Boy Likes Books!

Not reading them, but taking them all off the book shelf! This has been a new favorite activity of Daxon's every time we are in this room.

Can Everyone Say Shopping!

On Saturday my Mom and I took a day trip to Minot, the main reason of us going was to pick up some doors that she had ordered when we went to Bismark about a month ago, but of course we got some shopping!

Spent way too much money at Hobby Lobby!

Picked up this scent at Bath and Body Works! It is absolutely the best thing I have ever smelled!

Picked up these knobs for Daxon's closet doors

Sippy Cup- Check

I am happy to announce that Daxon has finally started to use a sippy cup! We have been trying for quite some time now and with a lot of different cups and all he would do was play with it (which was fine with us, I guess he just wasn't ready). But the other day I gave it to him and after playing with it for a few minutes I looked over and he was drinking out of it and then the next day we tried and he did it again! Our little Monkey is growing up so fast!

Books

Yesterday we made a trip to the book store. Daxon had a gift card that he had won in the photo contest, so we thought we would get him some new books. We came out with these two selections.

And of course Mom needed a book as well!

I choose "Freedom" by Jonathan Franzen, it's the new book in Oprah's book club, so I thought I would give it a read! I'm not a avid reader, I'm lucky if I read one book a year and usually it's a true crime novel (my favorite), so we will see how long it takes me to tackle this one!

Bed Head!

This is what our little man looks like in the morning, I think it's about time for a hair cut!
